The MAC fashion company was founded in 1973 in Germany in the city of Wald/Rossbach. Today, MAC, the pants and denim specialist, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of both men’s and women’s trousers. It all started with the simple and effective idea of bringing perfectly fitting yet affordable womens' pants into the market—with quickly visible success. The first men’s trousers followed the successful introduction of women’s pants in the same year. Today, we sell more than 6 million pairs per year.
The goal of superb craftsmanship and tradition combined with fashionable trends unites the company MAC with about 330 employees at its headquarters and 3,400 employees in the connected production facilities. We use only high quality materials and are focused on implementing innovative technologies and organic production methods, as well as developing perfect fits and top fashion styles.
The MAC company building reflects the transparent and democratic structures of our organization by its clear architecture. Each of our MAC pants arises in many individual steps—from the first sketch of the design over the production in selected production facilities to the careful shipping to dealers. This requires not only excellent know-how and tangible passion for the product, but also personality and a pleasant working atmosphere. With our bright, spacious building in the countryside of the Upper Palatinate forest, we offer the perfect setting for this. The building has already been awarded five architectural accolades, including the "BDA Award", awarded by the "Bund Deutscher Architekten". Our goal was not to build an award-winning structure, but rather to create a cheerful and friendly environment where all of our employees can feel comfortable—a goal which we have succeeded in fulfilling.

MAC established the quickest delivery time on the market—new stock is delivered every fourteen days. We work with a stock system which enables the most successful styles to be supplied within forty-eight hours.

After each bale is tested for shrinkage, trained seamstresses set to work with utmost care, using high quality thread. Our highly praised fit and up to the minute fashion are guaranteed thanks to a strong team of eighteen craftsmen focused on this goal alone.
When selecting suppliers and contractual partners, MAC believes that it is of the greatest importance that minimum standards and ethical principles are maintained for the workers.
In particular, this includes the social contract conditions for workers, especially with regard to working hours, minimum age, wages and safety on the shop floor. Similarly, MAC believes that it is important to manufacture in the most environmentally friendly way as possible and to observe the currently valid environmental standards.
